In the hobby garden, but also professionally, Epsom salt is used to add magnesium and sulfur to the soil. Magnesium, in particular, is an important element in the plant's chlorophyll. Potatoes, roses, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, but also conifers and other evergreens appreciate an extra dose of magnesium. Epsom salt barely changes the soil's acidity.
This traditional household remedy is also used in baths or as a compress. Even internal cleansing is practiced.
Note: Epsom salt attracts water, so keep the bucket tightly closed. A bowl of Epsom salt in a damp room will also absorb moisture from the air. Epsom salt is 100% soluble in water, so it can also be poured.
