Eifelgold Lava Meal is a 100% organic and environmentally friendly product of volcanic origin. It forms when lava solidifies and is therefore also called lava meal or basalt meal.
Eifelgold Lava Meal contains significantly more nutrients and trace elements than other types of lava meal. It is an excellent organic fertilizer and soil improver that considerably enhances soil fertility and acidity.
Due to its fineness, porosity, and mineral composition, it is particularly suitable for:
- Restoring original mineral soil fertility.
- Creating a long-term supply of nutrients and trace elements.
- Restoring the cation balance in the clay-humus complex. This improves the workability of clay soil and prevents compaction.
- Supplementing nutrients without (displacement) leaching.
- Regulating the pH of the soil and thus improving soil fertility.
- As a supplement to liming.
- Feeding the microbial life in your soil.
- Improving the moisture balance of your plot and the water quality of runoff groundwater and surface water.

Application of Eifelgold Lava Meal
Lawn: 1 kg per 10 m²
Vegetable garden: 2 - 3 kg per 10 m²
Compost heap: 4-6 kg/m³

This rock flour is permitted as fertilizer in organic farming according to European regulations. Eifelgold meets the criteria of SKAL Biocontrole and FiBL and may be used in the Dutch organic sector for the categories of fertilizers, compost, growing media, and biodegradable materials.
