Composting system HSJK125 Composter

Our smallest Composter with a capacity of 10-15 liters per week. Very suitable for single-family homes and also for placement on balconies or roof terraces. Compost can also be used as plant food for potted plants, both indoors and outdoors. The drum stands on a high standard, making it possible to tip it out over a wheelbarrow, for example.

Good air intake and rotation capability ensure sufficient oxygen. The division into 2 compartments allows for a constant supply of garden and kitchen waste. Kitchen waste: naturally only organic, cooked or uncooked, meat and fish, etc., see the instruction card. Garden waste: as this quickly takes up a large volume, the smallest model is not recommended, no branches! Available in different sizes, depending on the supply. By adding wood pellets, moisture is regulated, and compost accelerator (850220) can optionally be added.

The composting process basically involves about 6 weeks of filling and 6 weeks of maturing (hence the 2 compartments, otherwise the compost cannot ripen and remains active because new waste is constantly being added). Once the process is underway, you will have a compartment of compost approximately every 6 weeks. About 15-20% of the waste remains. The compartments can, of course, be emptied separately, and it is not intended to transfer from one compartment to another.

Sun or shade is not so important; the heat builds up from within. The insulation ensures that the Composter retains its heat, even in winter. It is important that there is airflow, so do not enclose it completely. Air (oxygen) is an essential part of the composting process.
