Many ginger plants flower beautifully, but when this beauty blooms your jaw will truly drop... The beautiful (usually subtly) white-speckled foliage is the first thing that catches your eye. The large flower cluster stands on a sturdy, 120-150 cm long stem and bears dozens of softly fragrant, white with salmon-orange flowers. This variety is a cross between H. flavum and H. coccineum, performed by Dr. Moy from the Botanical Gardens in San Antonio (Texas). This ginger is not edible; bring the plants indoors in winter and place them outdoors in summer in a partially sunny spot.
