A beautiful ginger that can grow outdoors in a pot in summer, but needs to be brought indoors in winter. The large, deep red flower bracts hide the small white flowers. Once flowering (after several years of growth), one flower will follow the other. The large, elegant leaves are somewhat reminiscent of banana leaves. Give them a tempered sunny spot. This ornamental ginger is NOT edible, but should not be missing from our ginger collection.
