This herb is once again very popular, and rightly so: its fresh minty taste makes for a delicious tea. A single chopped leaf adds a lively aroma to salads or young vegetables (carrots, sugar snap peas, peas, new potatoes)! The menthol scent that the plant releases after being bruised freshens up the whole garden.... The plants were already used in ancient Egypt; the Romans probably brought them to Western Europe. Give the plant a sunny spot; they spread considerably, so growing them in a pot is useful. Sun-dried leaves can be chopped and stored. Leaf height 50cm, including flowering: 1-1.5 m.
