Who wouldn't want that... to be rejuvenated by food. In India, this herb is very popular: the young shoots, young leaves, and roots are edible, all 3 in cooked or fried form: a delicate taste. The ground seeds give a good flavor to baked goods...
In addition (and hence the name), the entire plant has a rich tradition of medicinal properties; just check the internet! Several medicines are seriously made from this precious plant. The plants grow easily in poor and rich soil, not too wet, and in a sunny spot. Enjoy this night-blooming plant; they remain fairly small: 10-50 cm and bloom with clusters of pink flowers. The plants are perennial but do not tolerate frost, so bring them indoors in winter.
