The Mint Bush is an unfamiliar plant in our gardens, but once you have it, you'll enjoy its many pleasant qualities! First of all, its name reveals the presence of a delightful ethereal mint scent and mint flavour in its leaves and flowers. Strong enough that you only need a few leaves for an invigorating tea. Its sensational taste enriches chocolate dishes, sauces, and desserts. The white flowers (with purple and orange spots in the centre) attract bees and bumblebees and are a fresh and elegant addition to salads. The shrub grows to about 50-60 cm tall and appreciates some protection during severe frost. On balmy evenings, simply run your hands through the plant, and the air will fill with a fresh mint scent, keeping mosquitoes at bay!
