This curly Spearmint is a rarity, with beautifully serrated and curled leaves, making it not only ornamental but also providing a larger leaf surface area, thus more flavor! Even this beauty grows vigorously, so cultivation in a pot is best.
Most mint (or munt) species of the genus Mentha grow in the sun or in the shade. In the sun, the most compact growth and the most intense color, scent, and flavor develop. Each species goes through 2 growth stages: in spring, there is the growth spurt upwards before flowering. After that, horizontally (hard) growing runners develop, which grow into new plants in another location. Bees and butterflies love mint flowers.
