This cross between Mentha arvensis and Mentha spicata has elegantly variegated leaves and is characterized by a strong flavor! Very suitable for tea and for garnishing and flavoring dishes.
Most mint (or munt) varieties of the genus Mentha grow in the sun or in the shade. In the sun, the most compact growth and the most intense color, scent, and flavor are achieved. Each variety goes through 2 growth stages: in spring there is an upward growth spurt for flowering. Afterwards, horizontal (hard) growing runners develop, which grow into new plants in another location. Bees and butterflies love mint flowers.
