Mexican Bush Oregano is a woody plant that can tolerate a few degrees of frost. In Mexico and elsewhere, it's a popular herb due to the unique spiciness it adds to the familiar oregano aroma. The lavender-colored, tubular flowers adorn this plant, which can grow up to 1 meter tall. Regular pruning rejuvenates the plant. Give them a moist but not too wet, sunny spot. In case of severe frost, overwinter them in a shed.
