In Mongolia and Russia, the roots of this plant are used as a muscle enhancer, a kind of natural anabolic! Furthermore, it is said to increase zest for life and stamina. A very strong garden plant that thrives in the sun. The flower shape strongly reminds me of Centaurea macrocephala or artichokes, but in a beautiful lilac-pink color. The large, pointed leaves are also quite ornamental. Height 70-90 cm, flowering period July-August.
