Variegated Daubenton Cabbage is a special, perennial leaf cabbage that combines ornamental value with taste. The green and white variegated leaves make the plant a striking sight. Originally descended from old European cabbage varieties, this plant can be harvested for years and reaches a height of approximately 80 to 150 cm.
The young leaves have a mild, slightly sweet cabbage flavour and are delicious in mashed potato dishes, stir-fries, soups, and salads. Variegated Daubenton Cabbage grows best in a sunny to semi-shady spot in nutritious, well-draining soil and is excellently winter-hardy. Because the plant does not form seeds, it is propagated exclusively by cuttings, which has preserved this special old variety for generations.
