Asparagus, Purple 'Erasmus'

  • Product number: 831147.1
  • Origin: Europe
  • Latin: Asparagus officinalis

Here it is, the first 100% male purple asparagus. This greatly benefits the yield! Cultivation is possible throughout Europe, both in colder and very warm (subtropical) climates. The thick, intensely purple stems have a particularly good aroma! After the annual harvest, vigorous upright growth follows. Large growers plough an extra ridge against the plants, a hobby grower can also pull a climbing net horizontally along stakes. We supply a heavy quality: A70/+, which are "crowns" of 70g and heavier.

Denominations:
Latin: Asparagus officinalis
Dutch: Asperge
