Early Strawberry 'Rumba'
- Product number: 830703.1
- Origin: Europe
- Latin: Fragaria x ananassa
ABUNDANTLY AVAILABLE AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR. License variety from Fresh Forward, bred by Bert Meulenbroek. This is typically an early variety for Northern Europe. They set fruit well under colder conditions. The medium-sized fruits are reasonably sweet in the first harvests and become sweeter as the harvest progresses. This professional variety is replacing 'Honeoye' due to better characteristics.
Our strawberry collection consists partly of rare old varieties, which are only available in limited quantities. This means that the waiting time can be long. Annually in July, a new crop is potted by our grower, which is delivered in August-September. In April-May, we can supplement part of this assortment. Please note that postage costs may apply for any subsequent deliveries.
