As the name suggests, this giant strawberry originally comes from Romania. You can expect enormous and delicious fruits: sometimes even as big as small chicken eggs!
To achieve this, you do have to put in a little effort: plant them in fertile, humus-rich soil, slightly raised to prevent waterlogging, but sufficiently watered so that the plant never dries out. Large strawberry containers with fresh potting soil are a good alternative, and these containers should also never dry out.
Are there already runners during flowering? If so, cut them off to allow all energy to go into fruit production. What a pleasure to grow the biggest strawberry in the neighborhood!
