Mid-season Strawberry 'Figaro'

PLENTIFUL AVAILABILITY AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR. (2001) License variety from Fresh Forward, bred by Bert Meulenbroek. This mid-season harvesting variety yields in June-July. A strong, fast-growing plant that continues to produce large fruits well in warmer weather, but can also be forced early under glass, for example by cultivation in pots. The firm fruits are striking, making them ideal for the grower. This variety is also planted in southern countries, such as Portugal. The orange-red fruits have a good taste, which is what matters in the end, isn't it?

Our strawberry collection partly consists of rare old varieties, which are only sparingly available. Therefore, the waiting time may be long. Every year in July, our grower pots a new crop, which is delivered in August-September. In April-May, we can replenish part of this assortment.
