'Moselaner' is one of the best German varieties. The trees grow to a normal size, yielding abundant production of rather large nuts with a very good taste. This variety can withstand extreme conditions; prolonged drought is well tolerated! Plant this walnut together with 1 or 2 other varieties for the necessary cross-pollination.
Who doesn't know the walnut... wide trees that create a wonderful shady spot. A useful fact: mosquitoes and flies dislike the vicinity of this tree, so a bench under the walnut tree is a delight on a warm summer evening...! We supply young trees, which offers the best chance of healthy growth. Plant them so that the root ball is just below the ground (not too deep) and ensure a moderately moist, well-drained location. Walnuts need to ripen further after harvesting.
