A very hardy and ornamental, columnar (thus quite narrow) shrub, which blooms early in spring with clusters of snow-white flowers, very useful for bees! After flowering, the clusters produce: relatively large, steel-blue berries that ripen in summer. These are juicy, sweet-sour with a distinct blueberry aroma. Of course, they are very healthy and delicious in a dessert or processed into juice or jam... This American variety is self-pollinating, but another variety as a neighbour will yield an even better harvest. Also enjoy the beautiful autumn colour of the leaves.
