AVAILABLE FROM SEPTEMBER 2024.
This Viennese (Schönbrunner Gourmet) or Bulgarian (Kasanlaker) variety produces large, bright red, pear-shaped fruits with a wonderfully sweet taste. After harvesting, allow them to ripen indoors for optimal flavour... The plant has considerable vigour and certainly doesn't look out of place as an ornamental plant. Ripening occurs in September. For cross-pollination, plant another variety of Cornelian Cherry (Cornus mas) or a Japanese Dogwood (Cornus officinalis) nearby.
