A very productive and flavorful variety with large, long nuts. Plant at least 2 different varieties for good pollination. Good pollinators include 'Garibaldi', 'Cosford', and 'Halle'sche Riesen'. Hazelnuts prefer moist but well-drained soil.
Hazelnut bushes produce hazelnuts, a well-known and healthy nut often associated with chocolate! The ripe nuts fall from the bush naturally (in September), so collect them regularly. Hazelnut bushes grow into large shrubs that can be kept open with some pruning. Give the bushes a spacing of 2-3 m from each other. Male and female inflorescences grow on one plant, and they are wind-pollinated. Self-pollination is unfavorable, so cross-pollination is necessary.
