Sowing for the future

Charles and Perrine Hervé were neither farmers; he was a sailor and she was a lawyer. Their passion for a life in contact with nature and the countryside led them to permaculture and market gardening, which in turn led to La Ferme du Bec Hellouin in Normandy.

In ten years, through pioneering and research, they created a flourishing farm, which attracts many interested visitors annually. The farm has also attracted the attention of the INRA research institute, and an agricultural research program is currently underway.

On their farm, Charles and Perrine have combined the best traditions and techniques, drawing from extensive travel experience and vast reading. At the same time, they also delved into theoretical aspects, which provided context and vision. This combination is reflected in this book.
