An ideal base for seedbeds, free from insects, bacteria, and fungi. It consists of finely chopped, composted coconut fiber, then heated and pressed into briquettes. When 2.5-3 liters of water are added, the briquette expands to 10 liters, making it an ideal substitute for peat moss. Recipe for sowing: mix this cocopeat with 1 liter of silver sand (809625). Because this substrate easily reabsorbs moisture even after drying out, it has many applications, including in terrariums for frogs and snakes. One briquette weighs over 600 grams and is packed in a waterproof bag, into which water can be poured directly.
