Pot-maker Potjes-maker

Use this spool to make as many pots as you like from old paper, without glue or other aids. As soon as the plants are strong enough,
plant them in the garden, newspaper pot and all.

1. Tear or cut a strip of paper measuring 30x8 cm from a newspaper.
2. Loosely roll the strip of paper around the spool.
3. Fold the part of the paper strip that extends beyond the edge inwards.
4. Place the spool on its base, and press firmly.
5. Remove the paper pot from the spool and fill it with compost or potting soil.
6. Plant the seedling or seeds in the pot.
7. Plant the entire newspaper pot in the ground; the newspaper will decompose in the soil.
