the Smart Seed Starter Plugbox

Meet the strongest and smartest seed-sowing kit ever made! After years of experimentation, Swedish enthusiast and inventor Albert Eriksson has created a wonderful product. Now that he has passed away, his family continues production: Made in Sweden.
The PluggBox consists of 3 parts: a tray, a 49-cell seed tray (the “plugg”), and a transparent lid.
First, assemble the kit empty to get acquainted with everything. The seed tray fits onto the tray in 2 ways. Simply placing it on the tray is the starting position; by slightly bending out the 2 flexible sides, the anchoring releases, and the tray sinks deeper into the tray. This is the method to pop up all emerged seedlings simultaneously.
The transparent lid has 49 pointed protrusions, which can be used (in one action) to press down the cells filled with potting soil and create a sowing hole. The lid has another clever feature: it fits onto the seed tray in 2 ways; by rotating it a quarter turn, air channels can or cannot be created.
The steps at a glance:
1) Remove the seed tray from the tray (to avoid spilling) and fill the cells with good seed-starting soil: see our website, disease-free coco peat with sand.
2) Press down the soil with the top of the lid and clean it again.
3) Sow in the cells and sprinkle a little seed-starting soil over what you've sown, then mist thoroughly.
4) Place the tray on the saucer and fill it with a little water, so the cells can constantly absorb water.
5) Now the lid can be placed on top. If there is a lot of condensation, the air channels can be opened immediately.
6) After emergence, aerate the lid extra with a small piece of wood or similar, and after a few days, remove the lid.
7) When the seedlings are large enough for transplanting or planting out, they can be popped out of the cells. To do this: bend out the sides and press the tray deeper into the saucer. The seedlings will now all come up at once and can be transplanted without root damage. Note: the soil must be sufficiently moist before "popping up," otherwise the roots will stick to the side.
8) After use, the entire kit can be rinsed and put in the dishwasher!
Dimensions of the entire kit (lxwxh): 22x20x16 cm. 1 cell has a top diameter of 25 mm, a bottom diameter of 15 mm, and is 55 mm high.
