CRAFTED EARTHENWARE! The Olla (pronounced oy-ya) is an unglazed, porous, terracotta pot that can be buried in a central location among plants. The pot is then filled with water. Plant roots will grow towards the pot and draw water from it. If the pot is refilled regularly (1-2 times a week), the plants will thrive, and you will save 50-70% water. Sealing the pot prevents evaporation, keeps the water clean, and prevents mosquitoes from laying eggs. A beautiful, red stone lid is included.
The olla is ideal for planter boxes, vegetable gardens, and greenhouses and is available in three sizes.
We advise removing the olla from the ground before the frost period.
