They are connectable to each other. Press the rings slightly into the ground to prevent slugs from crawling underneath.

When slugs come into contact with copper, a toxic reaction occurs between the copper and the slug's slime, creating a slight electrical current that repels the slugs. The advantages are that it works in both wet and dry weather, is very effective, and does not kill the slugs, so birds still have their meal... The copper may lose its effect after oxidation, so clean it from time to time with sandpaper. Be aware that when applying the copper barricade, there may already be eggs or slugs within the circle.
