Paeonia lactiflora 'Madame Edouard Doriat'

THESE BULBS WILL ARRIVE IN OCTOBER 2024.
(1924) Fragrant, spherical white flowers with occasional red flecks in the center. As the flower opens, the heart turns creamy white due to the stamens. Abundant bloom thanks to numerous side buds. Sturdy flower stems of approx. 90 cm. Blooms from late May.

After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has compiled a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.

They grow in all soil types:
On clay, growth is problem-free; do not fertilize too much and ensure good drainage.
On sand, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilization keeps the plant in good condition.
On peat soil, growth is generally good; however, the plants will need to be transplanted or renewed a little sooner.

Place peonies in a sunny spot, planting them (immediately upon arrival) so shallowly that only a few cm of soil covers the "eyes," compacting the soil first.
We supply bare rootstocks; each plant has grown for 4-5 years, so the chance of quick flowering is high! Some varieties develop into their intended (double) form as they age. Colors can vary slightly year to year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have naturally died back, the rootstocks are only available FROM OCTOBER at the earliest.
