Paeonia lactiflora 'Honey Gold'

THESE BULBS WILL ARRIVE IN OCTOBER 2024.
The outer petals of the flowers are bright white, and in the center, yellow petals (petaloids) emerge in a spherical shape, creating the amusing effect of a fried egg! The flowers fade to softer shades, even light pink can occur (under the influence of the sun)! With a height of 70-90 cm, this delightfully fragrant peony is also a popular cut flower!

After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has put together a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.

They grow in all soil types:
On clay, growth is problem-free; do not over-fertilize and ensure good drainage.
On sand, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilization keeps the plant healthy.
On peat soil, growth is generally good; however, the plants will need to be replanted or renewed slightly earlier.

Place peonies in a sunny spot and plant them (immediately upon arrival) shallowly, so that only a few cm of soil covers the 'eyes,' pressing down the soil first.
We supply loose rhizomes; each plant has grown for 4-5 years, so the chance of quick flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they age. Colors can vary slightly from year to year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have died off naturally, the rhizomes are available AT THE EARLIEST FROM OCTOBER.
