THESE BULBS WILL ARRIVE IN OCTOBER 2024.
(1955) Reaching a height of 90 cm, this improvement on the historic 'Felix Crousse' boasts dark wine-red, very double, slightly fragrant flowers. Excellent for cutting, but also long-blooming in the garden and beautiful with its sturdy foliage!
After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has compiled a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.
They thrive in all soil types:
In clay, growth is problem-free; do not fertilize too much and ensure good drainage.
In sand, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilization keeps the plant healthy.
In peat soil, growth is generally good, but the plants will need to be transplanted or renewed slightly earlier.
Place peonies in a sunny spot, planting them (immediately after arrival) shallowly so that only a few cm of soil covers the buds, first pressing down the soil.
We supply loose rootstocks; each plant has grown for 4-5 years, so the chance of quick flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they age. Colors can vary slightly each year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have died off naturally, the rootstocks are available FROM OCTOBER AT THE EARLIEST.
