THESE BULBS WILL ARRIVE IN OCTOBER 2024.
(1942) (grower: Bockstone) This variety is closely related to the old-fashioned peony, with a beautiful, double flower in a deep red color. What makes this variety a favorite of many garden enthusiasts is its strikingly pleasant fragrance!
After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has compiled a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.
They grow in all soil types:
On clay, growth is problem-free; do not fertilize too much and ensure good drainage.
On sand, the plants remain somewhat smaller; adequate fertilization keeps the plant healthy.
On peat soil, growth is generally good; however, the plants will need to be replanted or renewed slightly earlier.
Place peonies in a sunny spot, plant them (immediately upon arrival) shallowly so that only a few cm of soil covers the "eyes," pressing down the soil first.
We supply loose rhizomes; each plant has grown for 4-5 years, so the chance of early flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they age. Colors can vary slightly per year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have naturally died back, the rhizomes are available FROM OCTOBER at the earliest.
