THESE BULBS WILL ARRIVE IN OCTOBER 2024.
(1964) My favorite variety! A special cultivar with salmon-pink flowers with an orange tint, which turn yellow during the flowering period. Large, semi-double, cup-shaped flowers on heavy, 90 cm long, sturdy stems. Blooms from mid-May.
After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has put together a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.
They grow on all soil types:
On clay, growth is problem-free; do not fertilize too much and ensure good drainage.
On sand, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilization keeps the plant healthy.
On peat soil, growth is generally good, but the plants will need to be replanted or renewed slightly earlier.
Plant peonies in a sunny spot, planting them (immediately upon arrival) so shallowly that only a few cm of soil covers the "eyes," first firming the soil.
We supply loose rootstocks; each plant has grown for 4-5 years, so the chance of early flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they age. Colors may vary slightly from year to year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have naturally died back, the rootstocks are only available FROM OCTOBER at the earliest.
