THESE BULBS WILL ARRIVE IN OCTOBER 2024.
(1999) Breeder: Anderson. Canary Brilliants® is a soft yellow to salmon-orange blooming cross between a tree peony and a herbaceous peony (Itoh hybrid) with semi-double flowers and a dark center. With its subtly fragrant flowers, it is a recommendation for gardens and parks. The plant blooms profusely and easily, standing tall above the plant with dark foliage. Canary Brilliants® retains great ornamental value even after flowering; its foliage displays autumn colors in the fall until frost sets in.
After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has compiled a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.
They grow in all soil types:
On clay, growth is problem-free; do not fertilize too much and ensure good drainage.
On sand, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilization keeps the plant healthy.
On peat soil, growth is generally good; however, the plants will need to be replanted or renewed slightly earlier.
Place peonies in a sunny spot, planting them (immediately upon arrival) so shallowly that only a few cm of soil covers the "eyes," pressing down the soil first.
We supply loose rhizomes; each plant has grown for 4-5 years, so the chance of quick flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they mature. Colors can vary slightly annually and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have naturally died back, the rhizomes will not be available UNTIL OCTOBER at the earliest.
