Paeonia lactiflora 'Angel Cheeks'

  • Product number: 736642.1
  • Origin: China, Northeast Asia
  • Latin: Paeonia lactiflora

THESE BULBS WILL ARRIVE IN OCTOBER 2024.
(1975) The soft pink center is surrounded by a creamy yellow saucer. Double-flowered, filled to the center, with slightly larger outer petals: the saucer. The plant structure is upright and quite narrow, 1m high. Blooms in late May.

After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has put together a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.

They grow in all soil types:
On clay, growth is problem-free; do not fertilize too much and ensure good drainage.
On sand, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilization keeps the plant healthy.
On peat soil, growth is generally good; however, the plants will need to be transplanted or renewed a little earlier.

Place peonies in a sunny spot, plant them (immediately upon arrival) so shallowly that only a few cm of soil covers the "eyes," pressing the soil down first.
We supply loose rhizomes; each plant has grown for 4-5 years, so the chance of quick flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they mature. Colors may vary slightly per year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have naturally died back, the rhizomes are available FROM OCTOBER at the earliest.
