AVAILABLE ALMOST YEAR-ROUND, SOME PERIODS NOT. The most unique clover we know. This Brazilian species is not only very ornamental with its brownish-purple leaves with lighter spots and sharply contrasting, light pink flowers, but also very tasty! I snack on the leaves wherever I see them: delicious lime flavour, fresh and sour yet a little sweet. Delicious with almost all dishes! Grow the bulbs in a pot indoors or in pots or the garden outdoors, preferably in a slightly shaded spot. The leaves "sleep" at night and in dark weather. Overwinter frost-free! Koppert Cress markets the leaves under the protected name Yka Leaves. A logical advice: use the Lime Leaves only as a garnish and flavouring, not as a main meal: just like rhubarb, too much acid is bad for the bones!
