WINTER-FLOWERING. A distinctive cyclamen, for years known as C. alpinum. It is found in Southwest Turkey under conifers, up to 1500 m altitude. The species owes its name to the propeller-like arrangement of its petals. The color of the honey-sweet scented flowers ranges from light to deep pink. The leaves vary in color and shape. Give them a dry spot (raised bed) and good protection during a harsh winter.
It's not hard to offer rare cyclamen corms. Whether or not poached from nature, there is a lively worldwide trade. It's a shame that only a portion of these corms truly thrive in gardens. We have the solution for you: every species we supply is grown in a pot in the Netherlands and already has leaves, so we dare to guarantee regrowth! When planting out, mix the potting soil from the pots with the surrounding soil, otherwise the corms may remain too wet.
