Double-flowered (with a visible, almost black center) dark (navy) blue.
By far the most famous anemone, cherished throughout the ages as a cut flower and introduced to our country from France around 1850. There are two known types: the De Caen type with large, beautifully colored, single flowers, and the St. Brigid type with semi-double flowers and rather narrow petals. They prefer fertile, humus-rich soil and are sufficiently frost-hardy with some winter protection. Height 25 cm.
