Beautiful scarlet red with a white edge around the black heart, single-flowered.
By far the most famous anemone, loved throughout time as a cut flower and introduced to our country from France as early as around 1850. There are two known types: the De Caen type with large, beautifully coloured, single flowers and the St. Brigid type with semi-double flowers and rather narrow petals. They prefer nutritious humus-rich soil and with some winter protection are sufficiently frost-resistant. Height 25 cm.
