Truly one of the most beautiful wild tulips, a dwarf at only 4-6 cm high, with striking star-shaped, silvery-white flowers and a steel-blue heart. This species has been sold under various names over the years, including T. violacea pallida, T. pulchella coerulea-oculata, T. pulchella albocoerulea oculata, T. pulchella pallida, and other variations. They grow in both sun and shade; the more shade, the longer the stem. An ideal tulip for our climate, blooming in March and April.
Originally "wild" species (also called Tulipa species), often perennial in the garden, smaller flowers.
