Lilium hybrid 'Robert Swanson'
- Product number: 723240.1
- Origin: Eurasia
- Latin: Lilium hybride
A new hybrid of the Oriental trumpet lily that can reach a height of 200-250 cm and in rare cases bears 40 flowers of 20 cm in diameter! Robert Swanson has large, softly shimmering flowers in bright butter yellow, bronze-red in the centre around bright green pistils and stamens. Plant them at the back of the border among plants of 1-1.5 m and they can settle undisturbed. With sufficient humus-rich soil, they will reach their full size in the third year. The flowers spread a light, pleasant fragrance, which you can expect from a lily.
The lily has captured the imagination of mankind for centuries: in the Bible as a symbol of beauty, in the Middle Ages as a symbol of virginal purity. In a semi-shady spot in your garden, the flower creates an effect of serene beauty...
