This Ornamental Ginger is stately, and its flower stem towers 1.5-2.5 m above the pot! The large, broad leaves appear first. At the end of the second summer, this majestic plant blooms with a rather loose cluster of wonderfully fragrant, bright orange flowers... This tropical plant must be brought indoors as soon as night frosts are forecast. Keep the plant moderately moist; in winter, it usually goes dormant, and only the (ever-growing) tuber remains.
