At an altitude of 2500 - 4000 m, this fantastic Cobra Lily grows in the Himalayas. The 50 cm long leaf stalks (purple mottled) bear the substantial three-lobed leaves. The deep wine-red, white-striped cup-shaped flowers appear on sturdy stems midway up the foliage. Due to the broad “roof” that the flower forms, the appearance of a cobra imposes itself, hence the name! Very hardy.
