Double white with a green heart.
By far the best-known anemone, loved throughout time as a cut flower and introduced to our country from France as early as around 1850. There are two well-known types: the De Caen type with large, beautifully coloured, single flowers, and the St. Brigid type with semi-double flowers and rather narrow petals. They prefer nutritious, humous soil and are sufficiently frost-resistant with some winter cover. Height 25 cm.
