Beautiful scarlet red with a white edge around the black heart, single-flowered.
By far the most famous anemone, loved throughout history as a cut flower and introduced to our country from France around 1850. There are two well-known types: the De Caen type with large, beautifully colored, single flowers and the St. Brigid type with semi-double flowers and rather narrow petals. They prefer nutritious, humus-rich soil and are sufficiently frost-resistant with some winter cover. Height 25 cm.
