Through crosses between Amaryllis belladonna (Belladonna lily) and Crinum moorei, a beautiful species has emerged with the best characteristics of both species: on sturdy, 40-70 cm high stems, they bloom with lilac-pink flowers with a white tinge and a delightful fragrance...!
Each stem can bear 6-10 flowers. They bloom annually in late summer and autumn in a sunny to semi-shaded location (preferably with some undergrowth) and if you plant them deep enough (30 cm), frost can hardly reach them. In severe frost, you can wrap any winter foliage in acrylic cloth. They prefer well-drained and humus-rich soil. Cultivation as a container plant is, of course, also a good option.
