It’s surprising that such a small sprout already carries such a distinguished onion flavour…
These seeds have been tested free of harmful bacteria after harvesting: Salmonella spp., Lysteria monocytogenes, E coli 0157-H7 & Ehec (Enterohaemorrhagic Escherichia coli). After that, the seeds were treated as hygienically as possible.
This variety is cultivated as sprouts (for the white germ) or as microgreens (for the young plant with cotyledons or first true leaves). Sprouting takes place in the dark and warmth; the sprouts can stay fresh in the refrigerator for a week, provided they are well-drained. Microgreens are grown on moisture-retaining material (paper towels, cotton wool, soil). For germination, dark and warm; after germination, light and cooler.
