Beautiful red sprout with a delicious, subtle, nutty taste. They grow best in a thin layer of seed compost in a light place. Give them plenty of warmth for good germination. Harvesting by thinning out gives some plants the chance to grow further; then transfer these to a larger pot.
This variety is grown as microgreen (for the young plant with cotyledon or first true leaf). Microgreens are grown on moisture-retaining material (kitchen roll, cotton wool, soil). Dark and warm for germination, light and cooler after germination.
