Micro Pea Shoot 'Petite Snap-Greens'
- Product number: 690910
- Origin: Mediterranean, Western Asia
- Latin: Pisum sativum
Cultivated for its unique mini-leaves, edible shoots, and blossoms. Harvest a few days after the leaves have formed and are still tender. Entire plants can also be harvested when they are 15-20 cm tall. If cut above the 2nd pair of leaves, a second harvest is possible. At this young stage, the entire plant is edible and very popular (raw) for salads or blanched.
Of course, you can also let this pea grow to full maturity in the garden; they grow to about 90 cm high and do not need support. Petite Snap-Greens produce a delicious pea, they ripen quite late and yield slightly less than standard peas. However, this is offset by high resistance to Fusarium, wilting, and powdery mildew.
