Alfalfa

  • Product number: 690055
  • Origin: Middle East
  • Latin: Medicago sativa

One of the finest, most versatile applications. Delicious, fine sprouts with a fresh taste and a "crispy" mouthfeel. Alfalfa are the sprouts of Lucerne clover. These seeds have been found free of harmful bacteria after harvest: Salmonella spp. Listeria monocytogenes, E coli 0157-H7 & Ehec (Enterohaemorrhagic Escherichia coli). The seeds were then handled as hygienically as possible.

This variety is mainly grown as a sprout vegetable (for the white sprout). Cultivation is done in the dark and in warmth. The sprouts can stay fresh in the refrigerator for a week, provided they are well drained.

Latin: Medicago sativa
