The ideal tray or growing dish for cultivating microgreens. The many holes are in 2 different height levels due to the varying profile, ensuring optimal watering and drainage.
The catch tray without holes (see 690036) fits precisely underneath to collect the water; this catch tray is ideal for indoor cultivation. If you sow outdoors in the summer, you can omit this catch tray. The trays are made from durable and strong, injection-molded, BPA-free plastic, so you can enjoy these growing dishes for years! The shallow depth (3 cm) makes harvesting sprouts or microgreens extra easy – it's well thought out! Even the size of the trays (56x28 cm) is very clever, as most wood panels are 122x244 cm, and four of these growing dishes fit perfectly on a quarter panel (122x61 cm)!
For growing microgreens, you can use fine seed starting mix (809620 + 809625), many types of sprouts also germinate well on micro mats (690030) or (if you sow a lot) on Bio Fiber Mulch (845020)
Of course, you can surely come up with many other uses for these beautiful trays. They are also particularly suitable for sowing many vegetables and flowers; due to the shallow depth, you use little seed starting mix, but you do need to transplant the seedlings quickly.
